We utilize our professional and personal culinary experiences and relationships to continually design and produce professional-grade tools that help Sugar Workers and Artisans achieve a higher level of success within their craft. Our unique insight and experience allow us to identify and overcome the challenges and needs of creatives working within the Sugar Arts.

Innovative Sugarworks was launched in Seattle, WA in 2013.
Our mission: to create high quality tools that enhance and elevate the craft of Sugar Arts. Seeking to find solutions lacking in “traditional” cake decorating products, Sugarworks' founder Meghan Hengesteg began fashioning her own tools. Driven by a desire to improve the workflow of her fellow chefs, bakers, and confectioners, Sugarworks was born as a means of reproducing Meghan's unique tools.

Meghan began experimenting with baking at an early age. Her lifelong love affair with baking began with her Easy Bake Oven and a family recipe for “Preacher’s Chocolate Cake.” Throughout high school, she devoured cooking magazines and watched cooking shows. Encouraged by her grandmother, Meghan decided to turn her passion into a career. She graduated with top honors from the French Culinary Institute and put her artistic vision and design skills to work as Lead Decorator and Artist at The People’s Cake with Kaysie Lackey in Seattle, Washington.

Innovative Sugarworks continues to find fresh ways to bring high quality, professional grade products to those who seek comfort and efficiency in their Sugar Arts endeavors.
